Hi flist!
I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off today. Which of course means that I feel like updating you all on my life.

Now, that I've spammed you with more dragons (please click!), I shall move onto other more real things. :)

Amazon has a free dowload of All Time Low's Weightless here. I swear this song is my anthem. A friend sent it to me this morning and then called to say, "You must listen to this song and get it. It's your life."
Why, yes, yes it is my life of late. It's totally going on the Bewize Soundtrack from 2009. (Does anyone else make playlists for their life? It's the songs that play in the background, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who hears them. That's okay, though, because they mean something to me.)
***********
I had a client meeting this morning, so I drove to Sandy Springs for that. Then I spent the next hour on the phone in the Dunkin Donuts. I had to chase down my interviewees for the paper this week. That was annoying, but I have all the notes I need now to write the articles and an extension from the editor, so... I'll take what I can get. :)
I also get to interview The Drive By Truckers this week! I'm so so excited about that. :D
Oh, and some guy knocked over my coffee in the DD, but when I glared at him, he bought me another one. Seriously, though. Don't F with my coffee. It's the elixer of life, as in, if you want to live, you'd best buy me another cup of coffee jackass!
***********
I have an interview for a freelance writing position with a company called Buzz Entertainment on Wednesday. That should hopefully be interesting and lucrative in the long run. It's at 7:30 downtown, which should be all kinds of sketchy - but whatever. I hope that it turns out to be interesting and maybe I can score some free tix from it to movies, concerts, exhibits, whatever.

Speaking of such things, the interview I did this morning was interesting. The artist on the other end was very "cultured" souding and when I gave him my email address (with the Esq tag) he said, "Esq. As in esquire?"
"Yes."
"As in, attorney?"
"... Yes."
"..."
"My day job is as a lawyer."
"... Oh."
The interview was sort of strained then and I feel like maybe he had prejudged me or something and was thrown when he found out I had a higher degree (gradating the same year as he did with his higher degree from the same institution, in fact). But, whatever.
Of course, it got more interesting when he tried to backtrack from something and told me what to write in the article and I told him that I wouldn't and that I hoped he'd answer my question and as the curator, he owed people an explanation of his vision. *snorts* I only pushed him on it because he was a bit of a snot.

We're going out for Steve's birthday tonight. Wahoo, here we come. He never did figure out that I was mad at him. But, we discussed the underlying issues and I feel better, so I'm over it.
V, Pete, Mattie and I all chipped in and got him a Braves jersey and a gift card to Target so he can buy Season 3 of Big Love (which I will then borrow *shifty eyes*). I hope he likes it.
***********
I'm really tired today. I didn't sleep well last night, for some reason. I kept dreaming that I was reading a book someone I know wrote, but it was so different from anything that she'd write, that I thought she plagiarized it. It was very odd. I also think it had something to do with The West Wing, but it really makes no sense.
***********
I need to clean the litter box, but I think that will wait until later. I want to finish these articles, and then go grab some cake at the office for Steve's bday. Then I have to drive up to Nat's firm to get the stuff to cry sales for tomorrow.
**********
Happy Monday all!
