My recent Misfit Market haul!

Non-produce - two cartoons of my favorite oat milk! Also, some garlic herb cashews.

My four year old already decimated the blueberries. He's also excited about the pineapple.

I'm going to make some lime infused water tomorrow, too.

Open to suggestions for anything else.

Definitely making a big salad for the week, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, onion, carrots & peppers (leftover from last week).

Might try a Brussel sprout salad, too, if I can find one that looks tasty.

Irony

I just sent my (Indian) roommate to the store for ingredients to make two Indian food dishes for dinner this week. The irony is that, despite the fact that she grew up on these foods, her mother has taught me how to make them, to ensure that her grandkids get to eat the food of their heritage some.

LOL.

I am trying an eggplant dish and chicken tikka masala this week. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Also, naan is a WW NO NO. Holy crap is that high in points!

I feel the urge to cook/bake something.

I'm taking suggestions (or, if you're close enough, requests).

Fair warning: It may come out well. It may not. That is the risk you take! Bwahahahaha.

So, let's have it. I can at least take pictures and share. XD

I feel better.

And I have new clients coming in this afternoon and lots to do before then, but I feel pretty good.

Physically speaking, I still feel like crap, but meh... can't have it all I guess.

I've been doing a lot of thinking over food culture and food shame, re: the post I made a few days ago. I definitely want to submit something to the Food Carnival. I'm really looking forward to it.

Here. Have a Linkin Park vid. :)

The oven won't work right. It won't stay on, it won't adjust tempretures, and it won't act like an oven!

I've burned two pies and undercooked one cake. The cake is destroyed. But tasty.

LOL.

Clue is on in the background, which just makes the whole thing even funnier.

I ate a cheese sandwich for lunch. This may be the highlight of my whole day today.

*nods*

Right now, I'll take it.

I've been telling myself to stop and make a post a lot lately and it doesn't seem to get done. I know that part of it is that I now have three roommate - and one of them is a toddler - and I spend a lot of time in the car. I also have another part time job, so I'm just tired from being so busy.

Today, though, was an exercise in frustration. The culmination of it is that I lost a contact and since I wear gas perm lenses, I don't have spars. I'm going to have to get a new pair of them. Also, since it's been awhile sine I've been to the doc's, I don't even have a current prescription.

Cue up Issues )

In other news, I made two food items of interest. The first was a mushroom salad that was really yummy. The second is corn and pablano soup, which I haven't eaten yet, but tasted good when I made it. I feel quite accomplished.

Lastly, I'm a bit behind on C25K, but I did run this weekend and I'm so proud of myself. I'll make up the last run tomorrow, even if it is raining. The new shoes make a world of difference for my knees, btw. They aren't purple and bruised any more. Whoot!

And now, I'm going to go to bed. Because in the last month, I turned into an old lady and I'm exhausted all the time.

I'm a terrible cook.

Actually, that's a lie. )

I should mention that it's taken approximately 5 hours to get this far and it's now almost midnight. Luckily, if you're someone that I would be willing to cook for, you're someone that doesn't care. :)

Bon appetite!

This is my contribution to Three Weeks for Dreamwidth today. I imagine, since I now know that there are themes, that I'll post more posts like this one. Bless your hearts.
