New TV

I'm trying to find some new tv shows that I'll like watching. I miss that kind of mindless entertainment.

So far, I have NOT seen SHIELD, but I have taped it and I will be watching it and I'm super excited about it already. :D

I have seen both episodes of Sleepy Hollow. Meh. I don't like the heavy handed forced feeding of plot, but the effects were cool enough (not all, but most) and the characters have the potential to be interesting if they stop being caricatures of themselves. I have to admit, I don't get the flail. Yes, they are pretty, but they aren't exactly subtle.

I also watched The Blacklist and I'm frankly blown away. I always forget how fantastic an actor James Spader is. Creepy as all get out, mind, but fantastic.

I'm planning on watching The Tommorow People, too.

What am I missing?

This man is so hot. I will not say anything else here, because it will only be crude.

I'm watching Project Runway and drinking beer. I worked out to the 30 Day Shred work out 2 and I ate salad for dinner. So... I'm a bit easily swayed in the emotional realm right now.

Spoilers for the last episode of PR )

So, yeah.

Gonna play Plants v. Zombies now.

I'm cheating. This technically fell on either one of the Dragon*Con days or on yesterday, the day of my big mediation. I'm... not up to posting about yesterday yet. And Dragon*Con will result in a post with equal mix of SQUEEEEEEEEEEE/RAAAAAAAGEEEEEEEEE, so I'm going to just pick up today. I'm not going to play catch up, you'll just have to keep reading from this day forward.

I stayed up way too late last night reading Mockingjay, which I finished at some nebulous time around 3 or 4. I didn't even look at the clock so I couldn't keep reminding myself how tired I was today because I got so little sleep.

Mattie came in and woke me up at about 8, although I'd heard him a few times before he actually came in. I stumbled out of bed and did the bathroom thing, although I didn't change, because I didn't want to go to work right away.

After I was alone, I drank two cups of coffee and made a few phone calls. Then I checked emails and sent off a few that needed answers. I tried to set up my second story interview and I need to finish setting up some magazine interviews.

At about 10:30, I decided I was starving. So I made lunch, although I didn't sit to eat until I put hair dye on my hair. I've got a haircut appointment tonight and I don't want to get it cut with all the grays showing.

Now, I'm watching "Say Yes to the Dress" (Umm, what is this show!?) and updating journals and stuff.

I'm going to go into the office later today with plans to finish 3 demand letters and 1 divorce petition. I'm also engaged in an email battle with Fulton County today, so that should be fun. Tonight, after the haircut, I'm going to have dinner with Nat.

I need to do two loads of laundry and my sister is coming into town this weekend, so I should probably also do a bit of cleaning.

S is working from home today with a sick puppy, so I really see no reason to race into the office. Good thing since I now have to shower the hair dye out! LOL. Plus, really, I need to see if this woman spends $12,000 on a wedding dress. Because, seriously, even if I had an unlimited amount of money, I wouldn't drop that kind of cash on a dress I was going to wear once. I'm not that ridiculous romantic.

The Meme:
Day 01 - Introduction
Day 02 – Your first love, in great detail
Day 03 – Your parents, in great detail
Day 04 – What you ate today, in great detail
Day 05 – Your definition of love, in great detail
Day 06 – Your day, in great detail
If you'd like to play along )

I got a lot done today and I'm very pleased with myself. I'm especially pleased with the fact that I got something ready to be filed that has been hanging over my head for months. MONTHS.

I'm prepared to file it tomorrow, when I will swing by the juvenile court on my way into the office. Boo yah.

I also got into a fight with a client, which ended badly, and I suggested he fire me if he didn't want to take legal advice. I bluntly told him that would allow me to withdraw from the case and that he could go and make a cluster of it on his own without dragging me through the mud with him. He called me later, apologized, and we are going to work it out, I think. *rolls eyes*

But, these things have been causing me anxiety and I feel better about it now.

First thing this morning, I found this link about US Marines in Afghanistan adopting kittens. You guys. I died. It's the most adorable link ever. EVER.

No seriously, if you want to make negative comments, DON'T.

This makes me very happy.

I'm already in my PJs. I have been since 7. I don't even care. I'm a tired tired Bewize.

This weekend, I'm going to go to Macon and see the BraggJam. I'm pretty excited, because I've talked to a lot of these bands. I shall see if I can snag any of them to say hi in person.

Also, it will be wonderful to see Steph's new house! I'm excited!

I had a conversation today that amused me. It began, "Hey, you remember that stoned artist guy that hit on you at last year's Dragon*Con?"

I did, indeed, remember him. Turns out he's got a new book out. It just amused me that any conversation ever gets to start that way. Another artist I met at DC last year emailed me and invited me to a signing. I love that part of my life. *hearts*

Tonight is Top Chef and Psych and both make me very, very happy. I'm also going to try and finish Comedy of Errors. It's been interesting thus far and hits my twin brother fascination hard. Two sets of twins!

I picked up Skin Trade from the library. I heard it was decent and that it has Edward in it. I'm hopeful that both are true. EDWARD! ♥

I also borrowed a Harlan Cobin book from Nat, so I will read that next.

Of course, all of this is after I finish the Lisa Shearin book that I'm almost done with. I frigging LOVE her series. Best thing I've come across in a long, long time. The heroine is awesome and genuine and neither uber!powerful or uber!bitchy. She makes mistakes. She trusts other people. She is wonderful and I love her.

The Braves game tonight is going pretty well. J Hey stole home! Whoot!

“Hi, I’m Brad. Thank you for calling [Cable Company] today! How can I help you?”

Brad was cheerful. Brad was too cheerful. Brad was… annoying.
