Some of my personal favorites -

betaplease - to help you find a beta reader for your writing! "Helping writers and beta-readers connect! Panfandom + original fic, all writing welcome!"

do_it - "A support community for achieving goals and becoming more productive." Great for being productive with cheering and support! The more active it gets, the better it becomes!

fanart_recs - "This is a community for fanart recommendations. It is intended to be a collective, multifandom rec repository akin to the Crack Van-type communities, only for fanart. It is open for fanart recs from all fandoms (whether books, comics, cartoons, live action, anime, games, RPF...), genres, styles and ratings." I've found some great pieces through these recs! There's a vast back collection, too!

fandomcalendar - "Bulletin board for fests, big bangs, memes, cons and any other fan-related activity." I've found most every fandom group I'm in through this community.

fresh_haul - "Sharing your winnings from the Farmer's Market, CSA, or other source of tasty fresh food
." A fairly inactive group that is AWESOME and should be more active! It's great for sharing CSA hauls, or farmer's market hauls!

smallfandombang - "THE BIG BANG FOR SMALL FANDOMS" - which may still be looking for artists for this latest round!
