if I had a dime for every girl who's agonized to me, as a writing teacher, over how to write her CV without "bragging"... well, I'd be on my way to making up that salary deficit.
That makes me so sad. It makes sense, though. If we're taught not to talk about our good points honestly, then we're not going to want to put it on paper either.
