I had a closing first thing this morning and since I've got tickets to the Braves tonight, I came back to the house to go running after the closing. This is the main reason I love working for myself. ♥

Today I ran 3 miles and I'm pleased to report that other than the occasional twinge, my hip is behaving.

I swear. This "exercise" thing is supposed to be good for you, but between asthma attacks, swollen and purple knees, and now my hip, I think it may be trying to off me. *shifty eyes*

I'm pretty pleased with myself though. I ran 2 miles in about 25 minutes. That's a slow mile, but since I kept pace for two, I'm not too fussed by it. I hope/expect my time to start dropping now that I'm going to be running so often.

This week, I've run 5 miles. 2 on Sunday, 1 yesterday and 2 today. Tomorrow, I'm not running. I signed up for a belly dancing class! So, I'll do that instead. I think it will be good to take a running break. I could really feel the fatigue in my muscles, although once I hit about half a mile everything settled down. My breathing was much better today than on Sunday. I paid for taking that week off. So NOT worth it. Next time, I'll just make the time to run, which I really will since I've got 87 days of exercise left to go for this challenge.

Thursday I intend to do a long run (3.5 miles) - long for me anyway. After that, we'll have to see how it goes. The weather is gorgeous though. Absolutely perfect for outdoor exercise. I'm thinking of going to the park this weekend for a picnic. Is anyone interested in joining me?

I've got a lot on my To Do list today - starting with making a To Do list, actually. But first - a shower!
