Staying Honest: Day 8 of 90

So, somehow, despite all my inner protests, I have managed to stick with the 90 days program thus far.
Sunday, September 12: Ran 2 miles
Monday, September 13: Ran 1 mile
Tuesday, September 14: Ran 2 miles
Wednesday, September 15: 1 hour belly dancing class; 20 minutes of actual exercise
Thursday, September 16: Ran 1.5 miles
Friday, September 17: Ran 2 miles
Saturday, September 18: Ran 3 miles
Week One Total: 11.5 miles; 20 minute belly dancing
Sunday, September 19: Ran 2 miles
All my distances are estimates, although I've mapped them and think they're fairly accurate. I can tell an amazing difference in my stamina after only a week. I don't know if I've actually lost any weight, although I weigh in at WW tomorrow. I think I look a bit different though. I'm going to take some pics to use as comparisons, although I've not done that yet.
I also bought Jillian's 30 Day Shred and have dug up my hand weights so that I have options instead of all the running. But, honestly, it's the easiest and fastest work out I can do. I need clothes, shoes, and outside - all of which are readily available.
According to the calendar calculator, 90 days is December 11, 2010.
... That seems so far away. But, that's one week down out of 12 and that seems a lot easier to think of. Also, after tomorrow, I'm 1/10 of the way through and the day after that, I'm 1/9 of the way through! So, progress already. :)
I got a massage today, too. That helped significantly with my hip pain, although the back of my thighs are still killing me. Apparently, I have IT band issues as well. Like I'm surprised by that, though.
Also, since the C25K program worked so well for me, I've investigated a few other programs, which I think I'm going to incorporate into the 90 days of madness here. In particular 200 situps, 100 pushups, and 200 squats. I've taken my initial tests for all three and the results were abysmal. Boo.
But, I can only go up from here, right? Right.
And on that note, I'm going to go shower. I stink.

Date: 2010-09-20 03:45 am (UTC)Thanks for the encouragement, too, by the way. I know that weight loss is a gradual process, and while that is a goal (and one that I would really, really like to achieve), it is secondary to the health concerns that drove me to exercise in the first place.
I'll keep on keeping on!
